A CLEARER WAY TO WORK WITH YOUR RIDE

Turn one long recording into two clear parts.

A recording may contain two outings, a commute in both directions or a long day you want to review in separate parts. Split chooses a recorded boundary in a supported FIT activity or timed GPX track and prepares two outputs. Use the map and charts to identify the break rather than guessing from a filename. This is a division of recorded data; it does not recreate stops, missing points or separate activities that were never recorded.

Accepted formats: FIT · GPX

How to use this tool

  1. Open a supported FIT activity or timed GPX track.
  2. Choose and review the recorded split point using the route or timeline.
  3. Create the two verified outputs and save both parts with clear filenames.

Questions about this tool

Can I split a FIT file instead of converting it to GPX first?

Yes, supported FIT activities can be split directly. Avoid converting merely to get a split if the original format already supports it: conversion can remove information that the destination format cannot represent.

Can I join the two parts again later?

Use Merge for compatible recordings and check their order and boundary. Keep the untouched source if you might need the original activity exactly as it was recorded.
