Correct the recording clock, with the change made clear.
A device with the wrong date or clock can put a good ride on the wrong day. Adjust time shifts supported timestamps by a chosen amount or sets a new recorded start. It is useful for correcting a consistent recording error before an import or merge. Check the displayed local time and timezone meaning before applying: changing file timestamps is a real edit, not simply choosing a different display timezone.
Accepted formats: FIT · GPX · TCXHow to use this tool
- Open a supported recording and check its current start and finish.
- Choose a timestamp shift or a new start, then inspect the before-and-after times.
- Create a verified copy and review it before importing or merging the ride.
Questions about this tool
Does changing the start time change how long I rode?
A uniform timestamp shift moves the recording on the calendar while keeping the intervals between its supported timestamps. Check the resulting summary; this tool is not a way to recalculate moving time or reconstruct missing recording periods.
How do I fix a timezone mistake in a FIT file?
First distinguish a wrong device timestamp from an app displaying the same instant in another timezone. Use the explicit shift or new-start controls only when the recorded times need changing, and review the timezone information shown in the tool.
