Understand and edit the device identity in your FIT file.
A recording can contain a manufacturer, product identity and readable device name that another app displays after import. This tool shows the current identity and lets you select a supported replacement manufacturer or model without changing the ride’s measured route and sensor streams. Search the available devices or browse the matching list. Numeric FIT identities and name-only choices are distinguished so a friendly label is not presented as a verified device code.

Questions about this tool
Does a device change alter my power or heart-rate readings?
The device-identity operation is intended to preserve the ride’s measurements and unrelated data. Review the before-and-after result. It does not generate different readings or calibrate a physical sensor.
Why is a model offered as a name-only choice?
A readable model name does not always have a verified numeric FIT product identity available to the writer. A name-only option is labelled accordingly instead of inventing a manufacturer or product code.
