Plan the same route in the opposite direction.
Reversing a planned route can turn a familiar loop into a different day out or prepare the return leg of a trip. This tool changes the order of a supported GPX route and makes the new start and finish clear. A reversed plan is not proof that a recorded activity happened backward. Use it for route preparation, then review the direction and relevant terrain or access conditions before navigating.
Accepted formats: GPXHow to use this tool
- Choose a supported planned GPX route.
- Review the original and reversed direction, including both endpoints.
- Download the separate reversed route and check it in your navigation app.
Questions about this tool
Can I reverse a recorded FIT activity?
Not with this tool. Reversing a plan and rewriting the chronology of an activity are different tasks. Use a supported GPX route for planning rather than fabricating an activity timeline.
Will the climbs and descents change places?
Following the same geometry in the opposite direction changes which slopes you climb or descend. Review the reversed route and elevation where available; the tool does not assess safety, legality or access on the ground.
